Well I just wanted to post about how awesome the Youth Revival has been going. I am really proud of the young people, they have responded to God's Word. Last night the youth even participated in the service. They led worship, and praise sang. Then Jackie and Jessica did a special song. Andrew preached a small sermon about "Our Secret Weapon...PRAISE"! It was awesome.
I am looking forward to great things tonight. I love you guys.
God Bless,
Nicole

King Kong
On Saturday night, my dad rented King Kong. I sat down, thinking that I was going to watch a cute little movie, about a big gorilla. Wow was a wrong. Not that it was a bad movie. It was pretty good. I was shocked at Jack Blacks performance.
However I have to say that there were some really freaky parts in the movie. The natives of the island are FREAKY. And there is a scene with over-sized bugs that gave me the chills. The movie is rated PG13, and I am shocked. But I don't like scary movies.
Well I hope that you have a Blessed Day!

Resurrection Sunday
Well, the other day in Kroger the manager of the store called today Resurrection Sunday, instead of Easter. I thought that it sounds better, and it gives honor to what today really is.
I have to say that I really enjoyed our service today. I want to tell all of my youth group, YOU DID AWESOME. I am so proud of you all, but not surprised. My dad decided that my sister, him, and my self should sing a song together. so the three of us sang "The Old Rugged Cross". I think that it went very well. The youth did their skit, and signed the song "It Wasn't Easy". They did such an awesome job!
We are sitting around, waiting for the dinner to get ready. We are having ham, chicken, potatoes, beats, baked beans, and a bunch of other stuff. I am so hungry! lol
I hope that you have a Blessed Resurrection Sunday!
God Bless,
Nicole

Gnocchi
Gnocchi with Butter Thyme Sauce
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
1 (1-pound) russet potato
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 large egg, beaten to blend
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup shaved Pecorino Romano
Cook the butter in a heavy medium skillet over medium heat until it begins to brown, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. Add the thyme leaves. Set aside.
Pierce the potato all over with a fork. Microwave the potato until tender, turning once, about 12 minutes. Cut the potato in half and scoop the flesh into a large bowl; discard the skin. Using a fork, mash the potato well. Mash in the salt and pepper. Mix in 3 tablespoons of the egg; discard the remaining egg. Sift the flour over the potato mixture and knead just until blended.
Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece between your palms and the work surface into a 1/2-inch-diameter rope (about 20 inches long). Cut the dough into 1-inch pieces. Roll each piece of dough over a wooden paddle with ridges or over the tines of a fork to form grooves in the dough.
Cook the gnocchi in a large pot of boiling salted water until the gnocchi rise to the surface, about 1 minute. Continue cooking until the gnocchi are tender, about 4 minutes longer. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the gnocchi to the hot thyme-butter in the skillet. Toss to coat.
Spoon the gnocchi and butter sauce into shallow bowls. Top with the Pecorino and serve.

Been a While
Well it has been a while since my last post. It has truely been a crazy week. My cousin broke her elbow, and we have been watching her children. They are so adorable. There are two year old twins and a 5 month old baby.
Other than watching them, not too much has been happening. This week I have two exams. I hope that I do good on them. We did see a pretty good movie on Saturday though. It was called "Beyond the Gates of Splendor". It was a very good documentory, and showed the life changing power of Christ.
Well it is time for me to read a story for school. So I should go to bed now.
I hope that you have a Blessed Day!
God Bless,
Nicole
